The City of Vergennes provides municipal docks for boaters in the Otter Creek Basin, which is navigable by nearly all types of watercraft and only 7 miles of sailing from Lake Champlain.  Visitors can dock their boats, enjoy a beautiful view of the waterfalls, and walk into Downtown Vergennes to stroll, shopdine or swim in our public pool.  On summer nights, the Falls put on a dazzling show when they're bathed in colorful spotlights for viewers to appreciate.

You'll find a boat launch, docks on both sides of the river with power and water available on a first-come, first-served basis (a nominal donation is expected.)  There is free WiFi and a 48-hour maximum stay.  If you need boating services while you're here, check out Point Bay Marina (Charlotte, on the lake, full service) Tom's Marine Service (Ferrisburgh, on Otter Creek) or Marine Plus VT (N. Ferrisburgh on Rte 7) To schedule a fishing charter, contact Obe White at Cloud Nine Charters

WOW WOW and WOW, it is a gorgeous place, quiet, no wind, no current, don’t miss it!

Tranquil ride up the creek, to a beautiful spot below waterfalls. Free docks, free power..can’t ask for more. Hiking trail on south side of creek. Several restaurants to choose from in town, free wifi. We spent 2 days here & were glad we came.
