Vergennes Farmers Market Returns to the Heart of the Little City
The Vergennes Farmers Market (VFM) returns to downtown Vergennes! The market will be held Thursdays at City Park Thursday, June 13 and continues each week until October 10. (3:00–6:30pm). VFM exists for the purpose of providing a direct marketing outlet for farmers, food and craft artisans living in, or near, Addison County, Vermont. The market is primarily an agricultural market with an emphasis on consumers having an authentic experience of meeting the producers face to face.
As an agricultural market, VFM has a goal of 50% or greater percentage of farmers as vendors, with the rest comprising of food and craft artisans. Solely the vendor and their associates must produce all products sold.
VFM accepts Farm to Family coupons and also welcomes state agencies and non-profits that offer education to help people eat well, keep a safe home and enjoy a healthy lifestyle.
All food vendors are licensed by the state and carry insurance.
This year we anticipate 20 vendors, with 10 of them farmers or food producers.
Live music is featured every week.
Special parking accommodations have been instituted this year. Park Street will be closed to the public and reserved for customer parking during market hours (as well as vendor load-in/out) and we have reserved parking for vendors during the market two blocks away on Green Street.
