The 3rd Annual Groovin’ on the Green was a fun celebration as the last bash of summer. Friends, family and neighbors gathered in the heart of the Little City Friday evening, September 12 at City Park, A BLOCK PARTY FUN-raiser; each year, EVERYONE is invited.

People danced and grooved to the beat of Unruley Allies. A cash bar, hosted by Strong House Inn, coupled with food trucks and games added up to a whole lot of fun.

Vergennes Partnership is pleased to host Groovin' on the Green as a means of celebrating this great community in which we live, work and play. Hope to see you on the Green!.

Vergennes Memorial Day Parade

Join the American Legion Post #14 as we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Monday, May 26, 2025, the parade begins at 11:00am at Vergennes Union High School. From there, the 1.5 mile route travels Monkton Road, through downtown, then on to South Maple, Victory, and Green Streets, eventually ending at City Park (Vergennes Green). A ceremony honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice will take place immediately after the parade at City Park.

Announcement for the 2025 Vegennes Farmers Market opening on June 12 at Vergennes City Park. Market is open Thursdays from 3 to 7 pm, April 1 through October 9, with vendors accepting applications.

Vergennes Farmers Market

Now accepting vendor applications for the 2025 Summer Season! Vergennes Farmers Market will be back - rain or shine each Thursday 3:00-7:00pm beginning June 12 through Oct 9 at Vergennes City Green in the heart of the Little City. The vendor application window will remain open for the remainder of the season to allow for more vendors to apply as the season continues.

We welcome new Farmers Market manager Sarah Stillman, who also manages our sister markets in Shelburne and Bristol! With city approval for a beer garden, you’ll be able to sip a brew while visiting the vendors and enjoying the weekly music too! Vergennes Day

Presented by the Addison County Chamber of Commerce, the 42nd Annual Vergennes Day event was held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, and offered something for all ages—pancake breakfast at the Fire Department, 43rd Annual Little City Road Race, 55+ crafters/vendors, live music on the bandstand, children’s activities, horse and wagon rides, Lions Club’s famous chicken BBQ, events at the Bixby Library—all taking place around the Little City. Vergennes Day is an annual event, to be held on Saturday, August 23 in 2025.
