Vergennes Memorial Day Parade

Join the American Legion Post #14 as we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Monday, May 26, 2025, the parade begins at 11:00am at Vergennes Union High School. From there, the 1.5 mile route travels Monkton Road, through downtown, then on to South Maple, Victory, and Green Streets, eventually ending at City Park (Vergennes Green). A ceremony honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice will take place immediately after the parade at City Park.
Come to the Vergennes this Memorial Day; we’re the Little City with the Big Heart!

Santa Claus is coming to town!

Ho Ho Ho Holiday Stroll

Vergennes Downtown was a merriment of activity up, down and all around Main Street during the Ho Ho Ho Holiday Stroll! Taking place the 1st Saturday of each December, 2024 marked a new location for this annual event. In 2025, the Stroll will take place Saturday, December 6 throughout Vergennes.

In 2024, the fun began with Breakfast with Santa at the Vergennes United Methodist Church, across from the Opera House, 9:00-11:30am. In the afternoon from 1:00-3:00pm, Santa and Mrs. Claus welcomed the children at 48 Green Street, One Credit Union, sponsors for the day-long event. CLICK HERE to see what the day entailed. Shout out of thanks to the Bixby Memorial Free Library for partnering with us once again. The fun went on into the early evening at City Park - lighting of the trees, firepits, hot chocolate, caroling and, once again, the arrival of the famous S.D. Ireland lighted truck delighted us all.
